The World Inequality Lab is recruiting a Research Assistant, part-time (1day/week) in Paris, to support a project on global gender inequality.
Position
You will assist the gender coordinator in analyzing survey data for many countries worldwide, searching for complementary data for further analyses, and contributing to the project’s methodological development.
Skills:
- Good knowledge of Stata (mastery of other computer languages valued).
- Organizational skills, particularly with regard to managing projects involving a large amount of code.
- Good ability to collaborate on computer code.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of the gender economics literature is an advantage.
- Interest in income and wealth measurement issues, both at the macro and micro level. Interest in the work of compiling and harmonizing these data on a large scale to inform public and academic debate.
